One of the US top poker players, Phil Ivey is suing a Mayfair casino for £7.8 million in which he says they are refusing to hand over as his winnings.

Mr Ivey says he won the money fairly in games of punto banco at crockfords last year in August

He says that the Casino gave him a receipt for his winnings but has been left saddened as he has still not recieved his money.

But Crockfords owner says that he will be defending the claim vigorously and must be sure that the winnings are not deserving.

Phil Ivey said in a statement: ”won and lost substantial sums at Crockfords over the years and had “always honoured my commitments.

“At the time, I was given a receipt for my winnings but Crockfords subsequently withheld payment,

“I therefore feel I have no alternative but to take legal action.”

But the casino owner Genting said in a statement: ”However, in this rare instance we are able to confirm that our position, which is supported by strong legal advice, has been made very clear to Mr Ivey’s solicitors from the start,

“We shall be filing our defence shortly and defending this claim vigorously.”

In the U.S on Black Friday three of the largest poker websites were shut down which is believed to have been spurred by the casino’s which was losing customers to the websites.

One man known as Nathan Singer who was effected by the banning of the websites and who uses online poker to make a living earning around $70,000 has decided to move to Panama so that he can continue with his job.

He is just one of many who had to do the same thing to make there living who on average can make up to $10,000 a month you can see why they opted for the move.

“I can tell how other players are feeling and what they are likely to do, even online,” he says. “I’m also able to stay calm and look at things very rationally, which is hugely important in poker, where results are not dependent on process — you can often do the right thing and lose, or the wrong thing and win.”

San Marino Vs England Betting odds

wayne

Today’s European qualifier game brings us to San Marino where England take on a San Marino team that hasn’t scored for the whole competition and have only won one game of there last 115 games which is a pretty poor stat and a suspected England are strong favourites to win this game at 1/100 with bookies giving the slight chance that England may slip up, also England are on an unbeaten run with two wins and two draws.

Due to San Marino’s poor performances and no points bookies have priced a San Marino at 50/1 to win this game and a 20/1 for an unlikely draw.

Wayne Rooney has been in good goal scoring form for England having scored three goals in England’s last two Qualifying matches so is firm favourite to score with 4/5 to score two or more.
